What Are DIN Inch Fittings?

In New Zealand, the DIN union is commonly found on imported pumps, machinery and processing lines from Europe.

Normal DIN fittings are designed to fit DN (Diameter Nominal) tube sizes, which becomes a problem in New Zealand as we typically use imperial (inch) tube. Standard DIN fittings are unable to fit suitably to imperial sizes and DN tube can be difficult to source.

The Metal Company developed the DIN Inch Male Part and the DIN Inch Weld Liner which both consist of a DIN union that butt welds perfectly to imperial tube sizes.

DIN Inch fittings can be used with a standard DIN Slotted Nut and DIN Seal. The DIN inch fittings we stock include the DIN inch male part and and a DIN inch weld liner.
