RETURNS & SHIPPING

We believe being fair-minded is important. We do our best to ensure prices are correct at the time we publish them according to how our current stock levels are looking. However, stocks are not always available, so we generally offer a substitute if you contact us or be straight up and say we cannot supply it this time.

Human and system errors happen as well. If anything looks a bit strange or too good to be true, it’s best if you contact The Metal Company so we can continue to improve your experience.

 

RETURNS FOR TRADE ACCOUNTS

We keep returns simple. Goods must be returned to The Metal Company within 7 days of dispatch from The Metal Company for full credit to apply. A 20% handling charge will incur on goods returned between 7-14 days. Goods are non-returnable after 14 days.

Goods returned for credit are unable to be accepted without obtaining a Return Authority. Returned goods must be unused with the original packaging and proof of purchase. All procured, cut or fabricated goods are non-returnable. The Metal Company’s liability is limited to the cost of replacement of any products supplied by it so that its total liability will not exceed the price of the goods. All freight charges are non-refundable. Orders with free freight which are returned, may incur charges related to the outward freight of the original order. Return freight is the customers responsibility.  All returns are at the discretion of The Metal Company. Returns apply to Trade Accounts only.

 

SHIPPING

We like simple and realistic freight options. All customers receive a $15 freight on standard courier items and $95 freight on standard transport items, long lengths and sheet. Even better, Trade Accounts can receive FREE courier freight on website orders over $50+GST! If you need a Rural Delivery it’s just $8 or for a Saturday Delivery it’s just $10. Trade Accounts can also receive FREE transport freight on website orders when you purchase over $400+GST of standard long lengths.

We do our best to provide same day dispatch on courier orders before 4.00pm on weekdays, but this is not a guarantee. Our service standard is overnight courier to all urban New Zealand areas. Delivery times can vary depending on your location. You can also ‘Click and Collect’ from our South Island store. Transport times will differ and are reliant on the transport provider. Customers within our Metro Area can obtain custom transport and courier freight options based on your location.

The Metal Company reserves the right to alter freight charges at any time without warning due to supplier fluctuations, incorrect estimates or other policy changes. As freight updates are implemented, all previous freight structures no longer apply and are to be disregarded, in particular packaging and marketing material which circulates beyond an offer.

 

FAULTY GOODS

We sure don’t like faulty goods. The Metal Company will accept faulty product returns and provide a replacement for the products or a refund or repair when the product is delivered faulty.

All faulty good returns are at the discretion of The Metal Company and are subject to availability. To enable us to evaluate your return, we may ask for the order number, your name and other contact details, a detailed description of the problem, photographic evidence if an item was damaged during transportation.
