RapidPress Press-Fit System vs Threaded Pipe Systems

Threaded pipe lines have been around for many years and normally consist of threaded fittings and pipe that has had threads put on each end. Although these are traditional methods they can have some disadvantages.

Over time threads can leak due to vibration, thermal expansion or incorrect installation. RapidPress offers a consistent leak free joint through its encapsulated seal and hydraulically pressed joints.

Standard threaded fittings are only rated to 10 Bar whereas RapidPress has a standard 16 Bar rating and we can exceed that for approved applications

Assembling threaded fittings can be difficult to get correct alignment without the fittings leaking. RapidPress allows you to pre-assemble any pipelines and check the alignment prior to completing the presses.

The Metal Company stocks both of these piping systems but if you are looking for a quick and user friendly piping solution, RapidPress would be a great option to consider.
