What Does the Wording Inside Our Tube and Pipe Clamps Mean?

We stock clamps to suit tube, schedule pipe and Press-fit metric tube. This can be identified on the inside of the clamp with the letters T for tube, P for pipe and U for RapidPress Press-fit.

The naming convention is the size, then the type.

To the right of that there will be 5 digits with the letters ss and following from that will have either 304 or 316 which shows the grade of stainless steel the clamp was made from.

Underneath this, we have the heat number. The heat number is the identification number of the batch of stainless which the clamp was made from.
