A ball lock gas fitting is a type of quick-disconnect fitting that is commonly used in the wine and brewing industries, as well as other applications where frequent changes are necessary.
Ball lock gas fittings are mostly used with Carbon Dioxide and Nitrogen gases, which are commonly used in wine and beer production. The fittings consist of two types, a male fitting and a female fitting, that lock into place with a ball and spring mechanism when pressed together. The fitting can be easily disconnected by pressing the two parts together and releasing the ball lock mechanism.
All the ball-lock gas fittings we stock are ½” ball lock size, and have a full stainless steel body with EPDM Seals. This means they are suitable for a maximum temperature of 120°C and a maximum pressure of 215PSI / 15Bar.
These are available for both Male & Female gas fitting to BSP nipple (male thread) or BSP socket (female thread), And we stock female Gas fittings with a barbed hose tail in three different sizes, 6mm, 10mm and 12mm.
